The Gladewater Former Students’ Association considers its Outstanding Alumni Award its highest honor to be given to those having achieved significant and unusual accomplishments. These guidelines and criteria are intended to help maintain a required level of objectivity and credibility in the selection process. Nominees who meet these criteria will be enthusiastically confirmed by the Association’s Board of Directors.

The purpose of the GFSA Grizzly Award is to recognize an individual (or individuals) for notable leadership or important contribution made in recent years and that has assisted the Gladewater Former Students' in achieving its mission or had significant impact on the Gladewater Former Students' Association, the Gladewater ISD or Gladewater community.
